Bursaries

The Cathedral School would like the quality of education it offers to be available to parents of all backgrounds. It therefore provides a small number of financial bursaries each year. Bursaries are means tested, based on the means tested structure designed by the Independent Schools Bursar Association (ISBA).

Parents of pupils commencing Year 7 in the following September are invited to apply for a means tested bursary by the end of the previous January. Whilst the awarded bursary is available for the period in which the pupil remains at the School, we will require parents to provide financial information annually to access the ongoing need for a bursary.  The School retains the right to withdraw a financial bursary at any time, should the parents' finances change positively.

Other scholarship awards are honorary awards (see Frequently Asked Questions page). Choristers also qualify for significant discount in recognition of the role they play in enriching the liturgical life of the Cathedral.
