Brass Instruments

The complete range of Brass instruments is taught, ranging from the cornet to the tuba. Pupils are given the opportunity to take part in the many Brass ensembles from a very early stage in their musical development. Ensembles solely for Brass players include the Junior and Senior Brass groups and the Trumpet Ensemble. However, there are many more opportunities for players to take part in music of all different styles in the mixed ensembles which include Sinfonietta, Sinfonia, Senior Orchestra and Jazz Band. Some members of the bands are also in the County Ensembles.  Links with the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama provide regular enrichment opportunities for our pupils.
