Piano and Organ
The School possesses a good number of upright and baby-grand pianos and a particularly fine concert grand. The Music Department has a team of six piano teachers, who between them are responsible for a total of over one hundred pupils during the course of a week. There are also opportunities for learning the organ and the School possesses a large three manual Viscount electronic organ, situated in the Roald Dahl Studio, and a small one manual pipe organ in the school Chapel. The 4-manual ‘Nicholson' pipe-organ in Llandaff Cathedral plays an important role in the weekly life of the School community and may be available to support the teaching of pupil organists by arrangement with the Cathedral organist.
