Academic Standards

Academic standards in the Junior Section are high. Government standards in England hope that all pupils leaving the Primary phase at eleven years of age should gain at least a level 4 in the core subjects. At the Cathedral School in 2008, 100% of our pupils hit this target with a staggering 80% gaining the highest level possible in English (level 5), whilst in Mathematics, 91% of our pupils achieved this level.
