Rounders

Rounders is one of the three major sports the girls are involved with at The Cathedral School and it is the team sport in which the girls participate during the Summer term.  Also in this term, the girls have the opportunity to play a number of other competitive sports including tennis and athletics; however, rounders is the team sport we excel in and that the girls thoroughly enjoy.

Recently we have participated in the South Wales Independent Schools Rounders League involving many different age groups and ability levels. From this competition, results indicated that The Cathedral School is one of the top independent schools at this sport in South Wales

The School have enviable facilities for this activity which includes five well maintained rounders pitches on site. We regularly host tournaments, coaching sessions and fixtures against local opposition and touring schools.

We annually participate in the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools rounders competition and also in the JET tournament which is a charity tournament for disadvantaged children.
