CSL1st XI v MCC

CSL1st XI v MCC

The CSL 1st XI was privileged to welcome the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) to the Bishop’s Field for one of the most prestigious fixtures in the cricket calendar.

Facing a strong and experienced side, CSL showed determination and resilience throughout. The bowlers worked with discipline and purpose to claim eight wickets, with notable contributions from Ayush M, Evan C and Sam M, supported by sharp fielding and positive energy across the team.

In reply, CSL was set a challenging target and, despite pressure from a well-organised MCC attack, continued to compete with commitment and intent. Vihan J played with positive intent, top-scoring with 22 runs, including three boundaries, while Sam M demonstrated patience and composure at the crease.

While the result did not go CSL's way, the fixture provided invaluable experience against high-quality opposition. Most pleasing was the way the team represented the School, displaying commitment, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout.

We are grateful to MCC for their continued support of school cricket and for a fixture that remains such a highlight of the sporting calendar.
