Pupils stitch history for National Eisteddfod celebration
We were delighted to welcome former pupil Martha Fletcher (OL, 2021-2023) back to CSL as part of an exciting project celebrating the 850th anniversary of the National Eisteddfod.
Now studying at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Martha worked with her mum, Mrs Fletcher and Year 7 to create medieval-themed textile pieces using recycled materials. These will form part of a large collaborative wall hanging showcased at Cardigan Castle as part of the festival’s grand finale later this month.
It was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to engage in a meaningful creative project, while contributing to a national celebration of Welsh culture and heritage. We are incredibly proud that their work will be included in such a special event.
