U13 Cardiff Rugby Schools plate winners

The U13s claimed the Cardiff Schools Plate just before half term with a superb 32–7 victory over St Teilo’s in a thrilling final.

The team demonstrated a strong range of developing skills throughout the match, particularly in their ability to apply consistent defensive pressure and transition quickly into attack. Their early work showcased effective communication, organisation in defence, and a willingness to play with tempo and intent.

As the game progressed, pupils showed increasing confidence in their decision-making, moving the ball with purpose and demonstrating good spatial awareness. Support play was a key strength, with players working hard off the ball to create and capitalise on attacking opportunities.

The forwards contributed with powerful, direct carrying and improved breakdown work, while the backs displayed pace, finishing ability, and an understanding of width and positioning. Leadership on the pitch was also evident, with players taking responsibility and encouraging one another.

Very well done to the whole team: Henry M, Cameron M, Henry P, Toby P, Dan M, Austin D, Ieuan H, Archie E, Tom M (Capt), Ralph K, Nathan V, Edward L (Vice-Capt), William S, Alex S-D, Sree K, Oliver S, Rafferty W, Charlie E, Dylan E, Jake M.
