Valencia Trip 2019

This week we returned from a four-day trip to Valencia. Nineteen Year 9 pupils accompanied Madame Howells, Mrs Melody and Dr Horleston on this, our fourth annual trip to visit one of the most iconic cities in Spain, taking in views of both modern and traditional architecture.

During our stay, we enjoyed a meal out at a typical Spanish Tapas restaurant (where the most enormous paella was cooked especially for us), a historical tour of the city centre and a visit to the stunning City of Arts and Sciences. At the Oceanographic Dolphinarium, we were treated to a stunning display of aquatic ability, and this engendered some thought-provoking responses from the pupils. Under clear blue skies and temperatures of a mild 33 degrees (as opposed to last year’s 42 degrees!), we ambled through the stunning Turia Park, whilst enjoying ice creams and ice-cold drinks.
