Toad-ally Awesome!
12 June 2026
On Wednesday evening our DS was transformed into the wonderful anthropomorphic world of The Wind in the Willows, as our Juniors pupils performed their adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's classic.
It was heartwarming to see pupils from Years 3 to 6 produce such confident and enjoyable performances as they told the story of the friends Mole, Badger, Ratty and, of course, Toad. Our audience were taken on a roller-coaster of emotions as we followed Mrs Toad's catastrophically hilarious journey from Toad Hall to Prison and back again. From rivers to Ratty and Magistrates to Moles, there was something for everyone in a performance that will live long in the memory. My personal favourite was the 'poop-poop' sound that echoed through the DS as Mrs Toad drover and then crashed her numerous vehicles.
Our thanks to Miss Williams, Ms Gretton and Mrs Morgan for their tireless work in preparing the pupils for delivering this story of friendship, courage and loyalty.
