1st XI Cricket V the MCC

We were delighted to welcome the MCC to the Bishop’s field for the sixth time.
CSL started brightly with early wickets for Avaneesh S, Aryan S and Elis S leaving the MCC 30 for 3 wickets. The MCC then fought back to finish on 216 after their 40 overs.
CSL started patiently and a partnership of 104 between Avaneesh S and Aryan S, who scored 66 and 54 respectively, put them in a strong position.Unfortunately, tight bowling enabled the required rate to creep up.
A flurry of late wickets occurred as CSL tried to get back up with the rate, ultimately finishing 20 runs short. Despite the final score, it was another wonderful challenge in glorious conditions.
