Celebrating World Book Day

We were lucky enough to welcome two well known authors to school this week, Mr Alan Durant and Mr Damian Harvey, as part of our celebrations for World Book Day.

They both ran practical workshops for the Junior and Infant sections, which the children found very engaging and they have definitely brought about a renewed enthusiasm for reading.

The Infant section particularly embraced the day, with both teachers and pupils coming to school dressed as characters from their favourite books!
