Information Afternoon Year 7 entry 2027
Tuesday 10 November 1645-1730
The term's first Lunchtime Recital, held on Thursday in Llandaff Cathedral, featured a varied and engaging programme, performed by a talented group of Senior musicians.
The audience enjoyed an eclectic selection of works, ranging from the energetic Pirates of the Caribbean arranged by Radnich, performed by Harry L, to the virtuosic Rumba Toccata by Harvey, played by Henry M. Reflective and lyrical music was also showcased, including Alexis Ffrench's Last Song-beautifully rendered by Matthew C - alongside a series of advanced vocal solos by Anna N, Elizabeth B, and Daniel T. The programme further highlighted the diversity of musical talent within the School, with performances on double bass by Max CT and harp by Inessa R, before concluding with Khachaturian's exciting Toccata impressively delivered by Elaine L.
The recital provided an excellent opportunity for pupils to perform in the inspiring setting of Llandaff Cathedral, demonstrating both technical accomplishment and musical confidence; the programme took the audience on an integrated journey of musical styles and compositional periods, with ample opportunity to reflect, as listeners. Congratulations to all the performers.
