Opera on the high seas
12 May 2011
This week we were treated to a superb performance of Gilbert and Sullivan's, Pirates of Penzance.
The 100-strong cast from the Junior and Senior sections delivered a first class production of the comic opera, with particular highlights from Christopher P as Frederic, Robert L, the Pirate King, Pollyanna F as Ruth and Joshua X as Major General Stanley.
Featuring the Senior Chamber Choir and the Middle School Choir, Pirates of Penzance was the fifth Gilbert and Sullivan collaboration and introduced the much-parodied Major-General's song.
