Congratulations to our newly appointed Senior 10 who were formally commissioned at a Dedication Service in Llandaff Cathedral last Friday.
During the service, the Prefects made the following commitment:
“We pledge to be true to the values and principles of The Cathedral School in all that we do. We aim to lead, not for our own recognition and glory, but as servants of all. We ask each member of our community to accept our service, as a step towards making our world a better place.”
We are delighted to announce the following appointments:
Heads of School: Salma A & Amog M-B
Deputy Heads of School: Patrick M& Phoebe MC
Dyfrig House Captains: Madeleine H & Lara P
Euddogwy House Captains: Elisabeth J-J & Gwen MO
Teilo House Captains: Isabella R & Wangsu X
These pupils have already demonstrated commitment, maturity and a strong sense of service, and we look forward to seeing them continue to model leadership over the year ahead.
At the same time, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the outgoing Senior 10. Over the past year, they have carried out their responsibilities with maturity and dedication, making a positive contribution to the life of the school in a wide range of areas. Their leadership and example have been greatly appreciated by staff and pupils alike.
Earlier this week, the outgoing prefects were invited to a special dinner with staff as a gesture of thanks for their service. The dinner provided an opportunity to reflect on their time in post and to recognise the contribution they have made. We wish them every success as they now move on to focus on their A Level studies and the exciting next steps beyond school.
We are confident that both the outgoing and incoming student leaders will continue to play an important role in shaping our school community with pride and purpose.
