Year 10 Geographers stepped beyond the classroom to complete a key component of their GCSE course through two days of fieldwork.
On Tuesday, pupils explored contrasting urban areas of Cardiff, conducting investigations in both Pontcanna and Cathays to examine how these neighbouring communities differ in character and function.
The following day, the group visited the Brecon Beacons, where they studied how the course of the River Llia changes downstream. Despite low water levels, a student still managed to fall into the river...fortunately, it was a warm day and dried quickly!
Well done to all involved for their enthusiasm throughout this valuable hands-on learning experience.
