On Remembrance Day, the CSL community paused to honour those who have served and sacrificed.
Primary and Senior Prefects joined former Custos Gilbert Lloyd (OL, 1956–1963), the Head, and members of the local community to lay a wreath on the Cathedral Green. Several of our Senior musicians joined the brass band to perform The Last Post, and our Deputy Heads of School and Senior House Captains stewarded the service, representing the School with great dignity. Meanwhile, pupils across the School reflected during a two-minute silence.
Our Nursery pupils marked the occasion in their own special way by creating a beautiful poppy wreath. They walked to the Llandaff Cenotaph, where they carefully laid their wreath in remembrance of those who served. It was a touching moment that helped our youngest learners understand the importance of remembering and showing gratitude.
The School was also represented at the Llandaff Cathedral Remembrance Day service by our Head Boy and Head Girl, who were excellent ambassadors for CSL, and laid wreaths at the three Old Llandavians memorials inside the cathedral.
